Lady Lisa Jarrett Smith is a native of Durant, MS where she graduated from Durant Public School. She earned her bachelor's degree from MS Valley State University and pursued additional studies at  Jackson State University and Mississippi State University. For more than 30 years, she faithfully served in education as an English instructor and school librarian in the Durant Public School District before retiring from a distinguished career dedicated to shaping the lives of countless students.

Lady Smith is a lifelong servant of the church and a devoted woman of faith.She was a faithful member of Greater Saint Anderson Church of God in Christ in Durant, Mississippi,  where she served in numerous capacities, including secretary for Bible Band, Sunday School, and Y.P.W.W.; Y.P.W.W. teacher; and  choir director. She also served in District 6 of Northern Mississippi Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction as the District Youth  Department Chairlady.

 

Today, Lady Smith  serves alongside her husband, Dr. Marcus J. Smith, Sr., Pastor of Warren Chapel Church of God in Christ and Ebenezer Church of God in Christ and Superintendent of District 12  of the Mississippi Northern Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.As Leading Lady of Warren Chapel Church of God in Christ, she faithfully supports the ministry through her leadership, wisdom, and servants's heart.

 

Her areas of service have included  Choir President, Christian Women Council President, Adult Women’s Sunday School Teacher, Youth Sponsor, Praise and Worship Leader, District Choir President, and Co-Chairperson of the Louisville District Women’s Department.Her passion for worship, teaching, and encouraging others continues to strengthen the ministries she serves and inspire those around her.

Lady Lisa Smith is the devoted wife of Dr. Marcus Smith,Sr.Together they have shared more than  three decades of marriage and ministry.They are blessed with five children Bridgette, Ayrion, Marc (Jazmine), Marcus, Jr.,and Mary Elizabeth and nine cherished grandchildren.

Now enjoying retirement,Lady Lisa Smith remains actively engaged in ministry and continues to serve wherever Gods leads.She lives by the biblical principle found in Ecclesiastes 9:10: "Whatever your hands finds to do, do it with your might.' Her life reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence, service, and honoring God in every season.
