Dr. Marcus J. Smith, Sr. is the pastor of Warren Chapel and Ebeneezer Church of God in Christ in Louisville, MS. Before he was born, he was a member of the church in his mother’s womb. His mother gave him to the Lord and instilled in him a love for God’s people. He has been a preacher of the gospel for over 25 years. Since pastoring Warren Chapel, the church where the anointing abides, a new edifice has been rectified. A church of 10 to 15 attending members has grown to a church with well over 150(+) attending members and is steadily increasing. He has also been blessed to minister through vocal and instrumental music.  This anointed man of God was appointed as Superintendent of the Louisville District of the 2nd Southern Mississippi Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction by the Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Albert Vernon Jordan in 2004.

     An evangelist for the Lord, Dr. Marcus J. Smith, Sr. travels throughout the states preaching and teaching the word of God. He is not your typical evangelist because he believes in letting the Lord speak and use him regardless of race, gender, culture or position. The lives of thousands have been changed through the ministering of God’s word.  He serves as a National Overseer of the National Adjutancy of the church (Church of God in Christ) and as Chief Adjutant and Personal Secretary to his Jurisdictional Bishop. In February 2017, Dr. Smith was assigned as pastor of the Ebenezer Church of God in Christ. In September 2017, the edifice (Warren Chapel) that the Lord blessed Dr. Smith and the members to build in 2002, was paid in full. Hallelujah! To God be the glory!!

     Dr. Smith is a native of Columbia, MS. He is a graduate of East Marion High School (Columbia, MS) and attended Jackson State University (Jackson, MS) majoring in vocal music. On May 19, 2017, Dr. Smith received his  Doctorates in Ministry from Unity Bible College in Covington, Louisiana. He is married to Lady Lisa Smith and is the father of four children, Ayrion (Skyla), Marc, Marcus, Jr., and Mary Elizabeth and the grandfather of two, Isaiah and India.
